B.A.P- One Shot

B.A.P's first comeback of the year!!! There's definitely no doubt that B.A.P will continue their reputation of being the boy band with the most comebacks in a year. Ever since B.A.P started promoting Crash and Stop It, I've been craving for a Warrior-like comeback from B.A.P. Crash and Stop It were ok but their songs like Warrior and Power were better. That's why I was flipping tables and doing cartwheels over the moon when I heard that the writers for Power and Warrior were working on their new album because Warrior and Power were my absolute favourite B.A.P eras! And they definitely did not disappoint.

One Shot, the title track is just as deep and badass as they always are. The beat is so asdfghjkl (yes that's an actual expression) that you can't help but get chills. The background music sounds like the beginning of Power. I'm loving the song with every play. Bang Yongguk's rap at the beginning is the lowest I've ever heard him rap. Daehyun and Youngjae's part are flawless as usual and Zelo raps in his own language. I particularly like Himchan's and Jongup's parts. Himchan got more parts this time (and Jongup got more lines  in 빗소리. TSent equals division of parts like this apparently). To sum up how I felt about the song, ASDFGHJKLKJHGFDSASDFGHJKLKJHGFDSA. Yeah.

As for the music video it was 7 minutes long and it apparently cost around 1 billion korean won to make. It was also shot in Korea as well as the Philippines. The settings were amazing. Everything from the air plane hanger, to the underground train tunnel was so gangster. I admit that I laughed at the beginning when B.A.P was on the boat with their smug smiles like they're such big pimps, drinking wine and dancing with bikini clad women. They looked so awkward. 

The story of the music video is that one of the members, Youngjae, is kidnapped by an enemy gang and B.A.P robs a bank and gets guns and stuff to get Youngjae back. And then there's two endings. 

One ending is when B.A.P gives the enemy their money and they give them Youngjae back but they suddenly shoot Youngjae down. So B.A.P's enraged and it turns into this massive gun fight where all the members of B.A.P and the enemy gang dies. This scene is the funniest in my opinion. First of all, why did you shoot Youngjae? You could have skipped away with the money without anything happening. The second thing that was funny to me was B.A.P's reaction when the gun fight broke out. Bang Yongguk is the first to get shot because he was in front. The rest of the members run for cover...EXCEPT Zelo. He just stands there in shock, he didn't even have his gun out. He was in clear sight for the enemy to shoot him but he wasn't shot until later. So Yongguk's dead on the floor, Zelo's crying over his body. And then Jung Daehyun comes out like he's the friggin Terminator and starts shooting and he dies within three seconds. Then Jongup comes out and shoots and dies, naturally. Then Zelo's crouching on the floor and he's managed to obtain a gun and then he's shot. Finally Himchan gets shot and regurgitates blood. Then Yongguk, who's apparently not dead yet, looks up and shoots the remaining enemy gang member that's trying to limp away with the money. And then everyone thinks that the music video is over and we're all in tears because B.A.P got shot. But then there's a plot twist.

The second ending of the music video is when the enemy gang returns Youngjae to B.A.P and Yongguk hugs him. Suddenly, the police bursts into the scene and everyone's arrested. It turns out that Youngjae was an undercover policeman the whole time. So the music video ends with Youngjae walking away coolly while the others are like 'WTF just happened?'

I can't wait to watch their live performance because I'm curious about how the dance will look like. From the  little dance shots that were in the music video, there seems to be a lot of floor humping yay. There is also the part where Zelo has his solo and he does that back floor/ humping/ sliding/ bouncing thing. Overall I'm COMPLETELY satisfied with this comeback. Best comeback of the year so far.

Now if only SMent would let EXO make a comeback as well.....
