Red's my mum, glitter is Arveeta and mine's the blue. |
Finally! After months of begging and pleading, my aunt got coupons for mani pedis from Groupon and called my mum, my sisters and I along. I'd never really seen the appeal of going for a manicure before because I always thought that the best thing about nail art was doing it by yourself. Nevertheless, I wanted to experience a real manicure pedicure done by professionals.
Stepped into the shop and noticed all the nail polishes on the shelves, the different brushes and the nail gems. This is what heaven looks like to nail addicts.
First of all, when the lady saw how long my nails were, she asked me if I wanted to trim it and I said yes assuming it would be just a little bit. But she cut ALL my nails off! I had such long nails before *sobs*. They shaped my nail pretty well though. Now they're all evenly squared. The lady who did my nails was pretty rough and while she was using that tool that cuts the skin around your nail to keep it smooth, she cut too deep and it started to bleed. BLEED. BLOOD COULD ACTUALLY BE SEEN. It stung so much when she was putting on the polish. I had to keep my poker face when in my head I was going "ASDFGHJKL OH LORD IT BURNSSSS."
Long story short, the sides of my nails are still sore but at least my nails look good. I'm not entirely sure if I'll go for more manicure pedicures in the future. For one thing, I'm still scarred by the lady digging a hole into my flesh. Another thing is I actually enjoy doing my nails by myself. I might go back to the store to nick some of their nail polishes. Maybe.
This blog post is a little different because it has a guest performance at the end of it. By dancing elves. Yay. Enjoy.
